Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Mumbai Indians

Rohit Sharma has scored 768 runs at an average of 33.39 and a strike rate of 139.89 against Punjab Kings. He has also amassed seven fifties against PBKS. Rohit will look to extend this good run at his home ground.

Tilak Varma has 214 runs at a 53.50 average and a strike rate of 158.52 in the five innings this season. He has scored runs at every position in his short IPL career.

Suryakumar Yadav has not been in great form lately. However, he played a fantastic knock of 43 runs off 25 balls, with the help of four boundaries and three maximums in his last outing at Wankhede. Suryakumar Yadav can again play a crucial knock at a venue where he has scored many runs earlier.

Cameron Green was the Player of the Match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last game. He first made 64 runs at a strike rate of 160 with the willow. Later, Green also picked up a wicket while conceding only 29 runs with the ball. The track in Wankhede will also suit him.

Piyush Chawla has impressed one and all in his comeback season. In the five innings, Chawla has seven wickets at a strike rate of 17.14 and an economy rate of 7.15. He will be eager to perform well against his former franchise.

Punjab Kings

Shikhar Dhawan might return for the game against Mumbai Indians. The southpaw has 871 runs at an average of 39.59 and a strike rate of 127.71 against MI. This includes six half-centuries.

Prabhsimran Singh has been one of the few batting performers for PBKS this season. He has played a few good innings here and there. The track in Mumbai is generally good for batting, and Prabhsimran might enjoy batting here.

Liam Livingstone didn’t have a great outing in the last game. However, he is a quality all-rounder who provides value with both bat and ball. PBKS would want him to step up now.

Sam Curran has five wickets at a strike rate of 14.40 in three innings against Mumbai Indians. He has also made 78 runs at a strike rate of 139.28, which includes a half-century.

Jitesh Sharma is a quality batter. In his short IPL career, Jitesh has often played useful knocks at a stage when others couldn’t support him well. In his only IPL innings against MI, Jitesh made 30 runs at a strike rate of 200, including two boundaries and as many sixes.

Arshdeep Singh is a certain pick in the fantasy team. He has bowled amazingly well this season. In the six games, Arshdeep has nine wickets at an average of 19.44 and a strike rate of 14.
